Located in the heart of Southern California, Lake Perris State Recreation Area spans over 8,800 acres of diverse landscapes, providing a haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Our group arrived at Bernasconi Beach in the morning, finding this southern shore of the lake much quieter and more secluded compared to the bustling northern side. We set up camp near the parking area and enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch, the mouthwatering aromas drifting over the tranquil lake waters.

Before packing up in the afternoon, we took a leisurely walk along the shoreline path, collecting discarded plastic bottles, snack wrappers and paper waste left by visitors. As the sun began to set, its golden rays reflected off the now-clean sandy beach, creating an even more breathtaking view than before – nature’s perfect reward for our efforts.
